Why isn't there a sub-forum for this tournament?

BTW, it starts in 5 and a half hours.

NZ have both SAF and Windies in their group? Bummer. I assume that means we won't get out of our group.

Some strange choices. I understand the financial reasons for the India v minnow group games, but England v Namibia?

Does England v whoever major team in their group is clash with India v minnow?

NZ doesn't even pretend to care about their under 19s (pretty sure it's youth odi debut for most of them) so i expect us to get flattened by the other sides

Oh Bangladesh is their major clash in that group (seedings taken directly from the 2016 U19 WC, I think?). Canada and Namibia the minnows.

Todd Watson being a thing might answer some of thierry henry's questions about how Colin Munro made the NZ Under 19 side as a specialist bowler back in the day.

Young Max Bryant is from my hometown. Used to play against his dad in the local comp. Goes better than anyone from our area has for a long, long time. Hopefully he plays a large part in this tournament!

Afghanistan looking good. I see there will be some clips available from non-TV games -

True, but you'll see he does have a nice simple agribusinessman's approach down in the engine room, Watson. You can never underrate the importance of having that guy chipping in to make your sixth score of 25-55, when you're a team full of young New Zealanders.

Watson runs in sooo slow. Crazy. Ravindra reminds me of Vettori, he obviously has studied the action! Can't believe he isn't in the Firebirds squad already. Fisher has good pace.

Never under-estimate your home team boys !

in this tournament if you have 2 really good batsman, a good spinner and a strike-bowler and you're in the hunt.

Afghani's beating Pakistan is no surprise. This really could be a changing of the guard in cricket. Their development has been so quick.
