I don't disagree with your point, but Clarke isn't a great example.

His long-standing back problems getting worse played a massive part in his retirement/drop in form.
Yeah, he was still in excellent form right until he did his hammy badly in Zimbabwe coupled with a back problem. Never looked in good nick after that.

Didn't he ton up in the very next test?
Yeah, but after that. That innings was emotionally unique, shall we say.

It was pretty impressive that he managed to score after coming out from a sheer technical POV (he had to invent some... interesting shots) but India bowled terribly on that 2nd morning. Like they didn't really want to get him out.

Ridiculous that people dont think that Dravid can be mentioned as on par with Tendulkar.

Dravid was always rated as 'the' key wicket in Tests in NZ, but would have thought Tendulkar was considerably more successful in your neck of the woods.

ChePu is the same age as Kohli and has arguably accomplished as much in Tests.

If Kohli gets to be in the fab 4 then ChePu needs to get in to make it a fab 5 (tests only that is)
