***Official*** New Zealand Domestic Season 2016/17

Nah no way, hater. ;)

I'm not sure what work-ons NZC gave him with that Maori cricket scholarship though, because his action flaws still seem exactly the same, 14 months on from the U19 days. He's providing keen domestic viewers with an intransigence that would make Duffy's 2012-2016 coaches proud tbh.

What's with Rippon not bowling any overs even thought Kitchen bowled lots? I thought he might have picked up an injury fielding but he still opened the batting in the second innings.

Also what has happened to Otago's batting? Think they were doing ok most of the season, but aside from the Wells-Smith rescue last week they've been blown away every innings in the last two games.

Glen Phillips bowling some off spin. Didn't know that.

Great to see that Will Young finally got another FC 100.

Along with his List A one a few weeks ago, that is a flood.

Yeah they've been a bit lucky until now with how many good starts they've got out of Brad Wilson, I suppose. Might be good for Chapman or someone to follow Kitchen down south, because sending out Eathorne as one of our FC No. 4 bats isn't very desirable -

Get the feeling it was one of those Auckland evening sessions where there was enough though the air to get the Aces in worse shape than 151/2. Kuggs wasn't persistent enough with the length of that first peach.

I guess Will Young just had to constantly imprint in his head that a hundred is two fifties, good on him.

Really great to see him back scoring

100 to Phillips. That's a ton in all 3 formats now and just a few months past his 20th. That's very good, especially considering young players in Auckland can get stuck in club cricket.

I recall he got his List A debut , very prematurely, in televised final or semi final of Ford Trophy 2 seasons ago? And looked pretty bad and well out of his depth. So him looking bad and well out of his depth in his T20I debut v SAF is not a big concern.

Blain

U19 Captain
Yeah he should be in the NZ Winter training camp, here's hoping he comes through that a more rounded all formats batsmen.

We really are missing some NZ A games, guys like him, Young, Bruce, Kuggs, Jamieson, Ferguson, Blundell, McClure all would benefit greatly from some A games, as well as the coaching/training with other top players.

jeez he is very leg side of the ball. Even getting inside balls on middle and leg. Hate how it looks but if it works....

CD bowl Wellington out twice and a good chance to push for a win: 200 from 39 overs.

Very disappointingly, 20 wickets and not a single one to Adam Milne in his first FC game in a long time.

Yeah well, as you say it's his first FC game in forever, and he's also had a lot of ODI and T20 cricket in the interim. Will probably take a bit of time to readjust back to FC bowling (not that Cummins had any problems).

Ajaz Patel really does have very decent stats for a plunket finger spinner.

No it's his second first class game.

First one was pink ball game. Rance getting it to talk and reaping rewards, Milne with a 0 in the wicket column.

Second one was this one and CD bowled first, late start after the week of rain. Rance cleaned up again, Milne with a 0.

I haven't watched. But ..... he's had some good bowling conditions.

Yeah I know that he's the 150k Gavin Larsen in ODIs but I'd expect something different in First Class - he'll need to if he wants to take wickets.

I was thinking Auckland had given ND too little for a final day chase at EPOO, but it's worked - ND now 237/8 having lost their third wicket at 163.
