Woeful stuff from SA. Good bowling, but terrible batting.

de Kock is the only bloke with lead in his pencil.

Fox just showing that game when Hussey smashed 50 something off 23 balls vs Pakistan. Fmd that was crazy.

Was this match a CW record for the least posts while a game was in progress between two top eight international teams?

That Mulghanoto (spelling??) bloke needs to look in this thread.

Compare activity in here for the T20's to the test series and CW has made a pretty clear statement as to where true cricket lovers interests lie.

This may be the worst T20 series of all time. Wash out, 7 over match and then a fizzer that everyone forgot was on. All after an amazing test series and before a T20 World Cup.

Agreed. But the 20/20 results take Australia to 4-1 in South Africa.

Add the 12-1 in Australia and I come up with 16-2 and a clover filled summer.

It's the fundamental problem with Test cricket. Not enough people have the time to care about it properly.
I'm not sure that is true. If it is just a question of "available time" then why can we muster better crowds for test cricket than T20 in Australia and England ?? Do the people of South Africa have less free time than we do??

Could it be more to do with the balance between hardcore genuine cricket lovers to more casual watchers? The former can and will still make time to support and follow the longer form..........perhaps it is just that the ratios between these two viewer groups is different in differing cricket playing countries?

The disturbing thing is that SA currently have an ATG fast bowler and up until recently an allrounder of the same caliber in their line-up, as well as being the No.1 ranked team in the world.

When did SA Test crowds get so bad?

From what I saw I didn't think they were actually that bad in the second and third tests?? Admittedly the first test at Centurion was pretty woeful for numbers. But you're right, given the quality of players they have had of late and how well they have been doing the last few years you would think interest in test cricket would be at a high over there right now.

England and Australia have the Ashes. We build towards that series, everyone else builds towards World Cups.
