The CWCA is seeking 3 captain, and 3 vice-captains, to lead the Assosciation's teams in their first season.

Each registered CWC player is alloted one vote for the ballot.
Elections are open from the posting of this thread, until 1800 Seotember 6th, AEST.

Whilst elections are open, candidates are expected to present to voters their policy regarding any potential captaincy reign.

The nominees are as follows:

JD Hurricane (Hurricane) - with DB Wayne (rvd619323) as vice captain
J Howe (Howe_zat) - with P Spark (Spark) as vice captain
S Delev (Johnners) - with A Sharma (Daemon) as vice captain
M Morkel (MrPrez)

Please note C Lewis (Prince EWS) has formally withdrawn from candidacy.

I'd like to formally withdraw for the race. I was keen to lead a team in the trials to help things get underway but I don't think I'll be able to commit to it full time throughout the season.

No problem. Will be done.

DB Wayne and I are a joint ticket. He will be my vice captain with equal say in the drafting process. We will put our policy/platform and election bribes shortly.

Towards the end - I wish to request that captains and vice captains be automatically given to their teams without having to be drafted. I think that would make the most sense.

Captains and vice-captains, once elected, will be autmotically assigned to the 3 teams; and from there the draft will commence to fill the squads.

Please note my player will be abstaining from the voting process; but I as the CWCA reserve the right to cast a deciding vote, if such a situation should arise.

Vote for the Hurricane/Wayne Ticket by voting for Hurricane in the captaincy election.

Our platform - we believe in the drafting process and we will seek to draft a balanced team of batsman bowlers and all rounders so that we can be a competitive team.
Executive Positions - Club President open, media manager open, recruitment officer for future seasons open. Captain Hurricane, Vice Captain DB Wayne
Team name - TBD by team vote
Team logo - Fizzing at the bung for cricket
Team Home Ground - The Beach
Special considerations - We will run a quick topic for private team tactical discussions. We will send out the url to members.
Game Time If you are drafted you are guaranteed playing time in your chosen specialisation.
Experience - Dan and I have already had turns doing the captaincy roles in the pre-season

Other incentives if you vote for us - girls like this will flock to you tomorrow:

Might I make a suggestion? Given that people had already voted before it came apparent that people were entering as a joint ballot...that you re-start the voting process? And that the ballot be for Captaincy only, with the captain to select their VC? Bit late of me to be talking about this I realise (thought about it the other day, them promptly forgot to mention it :p) but just seems to me like a process were a captain and vice-captain are potentially forced upon each other is a bit silly?

Do NOT vote for the Howe/Spark ticket; they are communists intent on stripping away your civil liberties should you be drafted to their side. Stalinist leadership did not work for the Soviets, nor will it work for Howe and Spark.

Their ideology has doomed them before the competition has begun.

The Hurricane/Wayne partnership, however, is run by two men intent on preserving a free labour market. You will be adequately remunerated (with burritos) for your cricketing efforts, and will have a democratic voice in club leadership. We're very laid back, compared to the autocrats that are Howe and Spark, and we want to foster creativity and enjoyment, unlike the Communists we find ourselves pitted against. Communism, dear friends, is the graveyard of ambition.

"Communism has never come to power in a country that was not disrupted by war or corruption, or both." - JFK

Hurricane/Wayne. We're fizzing at the bung.

Was keen to vote for Spark/Howe after hearing that they are Communists.

Will definitely vote for them seeing as that self-interested cumstain JFK is against them.
