Even Bangladeshis would 'walk into' Australian team : Jamie Siddons

Dhoni is certainly a better bat than Prior in test cricket.

And his keeping is a bit underrated too because of being a big man.

Dhoni has played really crucial knocks for India in every country now ,except Australia where he struggled.

Similarly Haddin struggled in India.

Haddin and Dhoni are pretty much equal for me in tests.
He's dropped a few in the last 3 series I've watched him keep. Still he's a decent keeper and a very good wicket keeper batsman. Dhoni has obviously played more knocks than Haddin and Haddin has done well since then. In a way I'd say they are equal but Haddin looks more assured in the middle than Dhoni IMO. Hence would put haddin ahead of Prior and Dhoni by a whisker.

Mushfiqur Rahim a better wicket-keeper then Haddin IMHO.
Rahim's improved as a keeper over the past three years or so but he's still quite sloppy imo, nowhere near as bad as he was in 2008 but he still makes the odd mistake too often.

Agree totally, Rahim also is starting to mature as a bat. Amazing to consider he is only 22 when he has been around international cricket for so long.

I'd really only say Prasanna and Boucher (who is on a bit of a decline) are better international keepers than him, and I reckon he could prove to be a better bat than either in a few years time.

Just keeping? Rahim is pretty average..maybe slightly better than Akmal. He has dropped quite a few regulation catches and stumpings..

He is one of Bangladesh's best batsmen though..he can easily bat in the top 5...Ideally they should drop one of their useless batsmen Ashraful/Raquibul and bat Rahim there..and then play Dhiman Ghosh as the specialist wicket keeper. He is a better keeper.

Whole package.

But then again Prior, Haddin and Dhoni are all being criminally underrated. But screw those guys. Rahiiiiiim

Prior's major issue has always been keeping and his major selection point his batting.
Are you serious?? I have seen all the 4 test matches so far and Prior has not missed one.. neither has Haddin..and both have kept to some really wayward and awkward bounces at times.

Haha yeah Prior was really a liability with the gloves when he debuted. Despite plundering runs there was talk of dropping him because he was so poor.

Has improved a lot since then but still a poor keeper.

Exactly what I was gonna say, but would prefer Jahurul Islam over Dhiman Ghosh. Only slightly worse as a keeper and is a gun batsman.

Was better than Haddin in this series with the gloves tbf. Won't call him poor at all. In fact is one of the better keepers around now.

How many wickets have went to the keepers anyway?"

16 to Prior
7 to Haddin

The Channel 9 commentary team cannot get over how awesome Prior and Hadding have been behind the stumps this summer and I tend to agree..But then again I am used to watching Kamran Akmal..that is poor keeping. After having to deal with that, Haddin and Prior are the best in the world.

Prior actually did get dropped at one point despite the fact that he was averaging about 43 with the bat at the time; his keeping was so poor. I thought you would've known that because Ambrose was his replacement and he rescued England from the mire against New Zealand shortly after coming into the team. :p

Yeah, after/during the Sri Lanka tour wasn't it?

Don't get why people are so reluctant to change their opinions on Prior's keeping. Not only is he much better now than he was before, but he's been soo good for ages now and shown basically no signs of regressing anytime soon.

Pity Bangladesh are still ****, Siddons is dreaming.

For those not watching the current series Prior >>>> Haddin. Prior has improved out of sight, i'm shocked. I reckon Haddin has declined as much as Prior has improved. Some sessions with Heals are in order.

This.

He has been superb with the gloves for over 12 months now, he has improved so much he is now a respectable standard international keeper like Alec Stewart became.

Better players than Tammim have come to Australia and been found seriously wanting. Shakib is a different story, probably not at 6 though as he would suggest, but he would be better than Smith, who incidentally at this stage in his career in my opinion is also not a number 6, but will be in time. If you read his article he also suggested that he is keen to play Australia and they are climbing the rankings ladder. There is little to suggest that during his regime that things have improved as much as he has suggested. Or in fact that Australia are bad enough to lose to Bangladesh.

He is way way way better than when he first played. His footwork has improved out of sight.
