I'm pretty sure it's the ends ay. As soon as Arnel switched to this end his pace went up by a good 4-5K. Southee was bowling at this end yesterday and he was up around 135-138 for most of his spell.

Yup. Arnel and Southee were bowling at the same time and Arnel was 3-4kph faster, although to me Southee looked visibly quicker.

None of the angles including stump cam showed any part of the line behind his foot. htf could you give it out.

Right now I am trying to decide if he is a batting allrounder or a batsman who bowls part time.

Somewhere in between at this stage IMO, but his batting has developed to Test standard an un-naturally early stage of his career. His bowling will probably just take a bit of time to catch up. There's definitely a lot to work with IMO.
Either way, saying Patel's a better bowler isn't really a questionable call.. I think everyone knew that already.
