A hundred off 132 balls, given the situation when he came in really isn't that bad; given some of these posts you'd think he was striking at 50, not 75.

Hes stepping it up now, but with 7 wickets in hand and only 4 overs left, a SR of 75 is a pretty average effort from clarke.

Yeah, woe betide the selectors pick young blokes with impressive records. Baffles me that the selectors are so keen to get young players into the limited overs teams but not Tests.

Yeah, since the WC, he's averaged a mere 41 at a S/R of 71, as opposed to his overall career avg of 43 at 77. Massive drop off!

He actually is from New South Wales; he just wasn't good enough to make our team so he pissed off to Victoria. He joins the less than exclusive list of players who have played for NSW Second XI and Australia within two seasons.
I've never rated him (dirt poor man's James Hopes IMO) but you can't knock his performances over the last year or so in all forms of the game so it's a good opportunity to have a look at him. Picked on actually performing rather than hype like Ferguson or Smith (as a bowler) so I'm not going to complain.
