Pick your Australian selectors

You can keep them how they are, or if you have carte blance and sack them, then pick the news ones. You can pick who ever you like, or indeed anybody who did the job beforehand (basically a 'perfect world' scenario).

This was bought about by those on here who have called for the selectors heads. So put your money where your mouth is and go ahead.

A. Border
D. Fleming
D. Boon.
K. O'Keefe.

J Langer - Once Haydos retires.
Fleming's not bad actually, will run with him as my fifth.

In all honesty though, I'd probably just appoint the person whose opinions I agree with the most - myself. :p

Haha yeah I was thinking of picking myself too, but didn't.

I like Fleming, I think he's so switched on. Border obviously is too, Boonie, well I love him and I added KOK cause I actually think he's got great knowledge, doubt he'd be any good at letting a player know he's got the axe though.

It doesn't matter, who picks the team. Right now, Australia should not be looking for a short term fix, I dont think that is available anyway.

First thing they need to do is to identify a 'Leader' who can lead them into next decade and also help them rebuild. I dont know who that would be, but my money would be on someone like Hussey or Katich. Also they need to get rid of Greg 'The Guru' Chappell as soon as they can. The guy was a great cricketer, but knows **** about anything else.

He rates Atherton over many of the openers in recent times. Not English team but 90's onwards etc.
That would be true if he is comparing Athers to the likes of Imrul Kayes and Sewnarine Chattergoon. Also I'm sure Richard could make an argument using Statsguru which clearly shows Athers being better than Haydos...

Yeah but that's using statsguru to reaffirm something he already thinks. Wouldn't dictate his selections if he had to edit them to justify points that he thinks would it?

Maybe but it could be Statsguru led to the opinion being formed.

Hahaha

 at the direness of this thread. Who were blaming the subcontinental (in particular Indians) to be over-emotional over a series loss?
