Tautology aside, I would agree that he hits the ball with "facile ease." However having watched him destroy the Lancashire bowling attack yesterday evening I would challenge anyone to deny that this was brutal hitting of the highest order."Brutal" is far too uncouth a word to apply to Morkel's hitting. It is unviolent, nigh graceful and wholly without the savagery that marks the majority of long-distance sluggers. Even "hitter" is a misnomer, ignoring as it does the facile ease with which he glides through the ball.
Haha, there's one I (or Bo***ch I guess) never thought of before.Br00t@l.
When was that contentious?Myself appreciating the clean hit more does not dismiss the fact that the brutal hit exists.
Guess I misread Nevilles post, sure it said that brutal was irrelevant and the term we were looking for is clean. My mistake. When was that contentious?
*head shake*Haha, there's one I (or Bo***ch I guess) never thought of before.
What is that supposed to mean? It does not, at any rate, answer my question.Myself appreciating the clean hit more does not dismiss the fact that the brutal hit exists.
Oh bugger. Duly amended.Tautology aside
