Cracking end to the series btw - Lara continued his record of producing the goods big time when its really mattered against the Aussies - even Bradman and Lillee couldn't get them across the line here. IIRC the overall standings are now 5-5? Remarkable.

The India Pakistan series would be mad - but I'm not going to be running it anytime soon. I've got an insane amount of work on over the next couple of weeks - I'll be lucky if I'm on at all for the next little while :(

I'll sim and post the scorecards for the final of the England-SA series tonight, but a match review will have to be produced by someone else (I'd nominate The Sean if he's keen).
I was going to lame out and say that I don't really have the time (which is true), but I see you've gone above and beyond by writing one anyway!

Windies won 3-1 in Australia didn't they, so that would mean 5-4? Not sure though...

Bradman produces the second biggest series in Test history against arguably the finest attack ever assembled - what a performance. Superb series from Punter, showing all his class against fast bowling. Sobers was predictably excellent, Ponsford a very pleasant surprise and while Lara averaged below 50 he stepped up with big scores when it mattered most, which has been the hallmark of so much of his magnificent career.

With the ball, DK Lillee was in a class of his own, clearly fired up by those who were questioning his status as Australia's greatest fast man and comparing him unfavourably to his Caribbean counterparts as well. No other real standouts, though Ambrose was impressive, and Spofforth justified his surprise inclusion into the touring squad.

Disappointed to miss the last couple games of the series but nice to see WI got the overall win. Would have made some changes but not bad.

Thanks adharcric for the series. I thoroughly enjoyed it. If only Bradman had shown up at home.

Well done adharcric must say thgat i enjoyed these pat 2 series a lot more than ive enjoyed some actual test series. looking forward to more of the same in the future.

Don't know the technical reasons why but if he were to post it as is copied from the game it'd look jumbled. All the info would be there but it'd be tedious to look at. It's organised in the game but somehow when you transfer it here it ends up looking bad. Probably coding or whatnot.

Yeah, mainly that. Also other things like "McGrath" instead of "GD McGrath" everywhere, editing the format to match normal scorecards and correcting for VC's inability to figure out who the keeper is. Had a dismissal reading "st Simpson b Simpson" once.

I have experience posting VC4 scorecards on another forum, never had any such problems myself. It's always been a simple Copy and paste job

Go back and compare. I'm not going to waste time discussing VC scorecard formatting.

Sorry dude, I really don't want to come off as unappreciative of the effort you've put in in this thread, but what I meant is that normal Ctrl C+Ctrl V into code tags without editing is what gives me a result similar to the second scorecard in your post.

There are several differences.

I'd do what Adharcric has done through this series when posting score cards... if I was technically literate enough. Instead, I've just been attaching screenshots as .jpgs... :sadwalk:

Nice to see the WI come back and win this, and to take the overall series 5 - 4 (with one match drawn). The Aussie pacemen really had it over the WI batsmen, except for Lara, and Hunte, and Sobers (the rest, especially Viv, really disappointed).

Nevertheless, a great series and a reflection of the calibre between the sides.

Once again, thanks Adharcric for running the series - I really enjoyed it. _b
