That post would have got you banned under the Wave of Repression.
Doubt it (I made an earlier one that was almost certainly more that's-not-appropriate-ish) but you might be right.

There was no insult directed at Smith - while there was in the other direction, ITBT. Not that I've got a problem with that, TBH.

You weren't around for it though. Basically any swearing/filtered word would get you a warning, 2 in the same post would usually be a strong warning and if you swore 3 times then you got 7. Example being Hing, who i wound up and he swore at me and he was the one who got banned for 7.

The swearing was more of a quote from Smith than anything. Surely even at such a time most would have had the sense to realise that?

Nope, any and all swearing was warned. I guess you'll start to begin to understand the full direness of that period.

So if someone posted say something like this: "Smith just said
Smith said:
My only problem with you is that you seem to think that everybody here on CW gives a **** about you. Vastly bloated sense of self-importance.

That's just how I see it.
and that's wrong"

They'd get a warning?

Find it hard to understand how the entire forum wasn't warned, TBH.

You swore, you got a warning. Fair amount of OT regulars got warned at one point.

I was trying to gently diffuse the situation.

Anyhow - I have "used the proper channels", I did the moment I realised. It should tell you a bit that this account hasn't been banned yet - these things can sometimes take a day or so. The pic was simply to notify all not to take this account seriously.

Is there going to be a new picture to warn people not to take your account seriously then?

Anyone care to suggest one?

Up to you to create one if you really so desire.

Thing is, there's no need, because I don't keep getting banned and creating new accounts to get around that...

Can't we make that decision for ourselves?

We don't need your help in deciding who to take seriously.

Apparently we do, Perm. Perhaps we should all bow and scrape in Richard's intellectually superior presence?
