1) Zinedine Zidane (Real Madrid v LeverKusen 2002 CT final - well I had to have my favourite player in here)
2) Saeed Owairawan ( saudi arabia v belgium WC 1994 at USA) - Saudi Arabian genius at its very best
3) Diego Maradona ( Argentina v England Azteca Stadium 1986 World Cup - no, not hand of god  the other one, where he dribbled past half the English team to slot past Peter Shilton.)
4) Maximiliano Rodriguez (Argentina V Mexico WC 2006)
5) Adriano (Brazil v Greece Confed Cup 2005)
6) Roberto Carlos (Tournoi de France brazil v France)
7) Thierry Henry (Arsenal v Liverpool 2004 - brilliant goal by the much loved Chief Poseur)
8) David Beckham v Greece (World Cup qualifier 2001 - didn't wanna have Pretty Boy in here but this goal was an excellent one I admit).
9) Michael Owen v Argentina (1998 World Cup Saint Etienne) - Best English goal I ave ever seen (see I can appreciate good play by the English even tho I like bagging your team out)
10) Zinedine Zidane (Real Betis V Bordeaux - where he execeuted a brilliant lob over the goalkeepers head from several yards away).

What are other people's faves ?

****ing unreal, fantastic game and it took a great goal to win.

Same World Cup also featuring Argentina, Cambiasso’s total football strike…

Highly overrated. The Maxi Rodriguez goal already mentioned was better than that in my books. There is very little pressure from the Serbia and Montenegro defenders at any point and there's hardly the sweeping passing of Brazil in the '70 final or even much one-touch play.

Haha thought that might get your attention. Used to have a video on my pc of a goal Lee Peacock scored for us where a move progressed with everyone running into exactly the right place for a person's trick to find them, the progression was a thing of beauty. The goal was scrappy though, 20 yard shot, saved by the keeper but spilled and Peacock basically tapped it in.

The goal that saved Exeter City: Dean Moxey, FA Cup Second Round, v Doncaster, 2004

I will confess that at the moment he hit it (I was in the stand directly behind the goal) I thought something along the lines of "what a complete waste of the ball", having seen him look up... at Sean Devine, the #10 on the edge of the penalty box. Whether he genuinely was trying to put it in the top corner or not, only he'll ever know. But who cares?

lol, amazing that in a relatively brief thread about the best goals in all football ever, dire former NZ Knights striker Sean Devine gets a mention and slightly less dire Wellington Phoenix striker Chris Greenace gets 2.

When I was a kid I was fed stories about Frank Worthington by my Father and this goal especially. TBH, Im not convinced there has been a better one scored before or since (in terms of artistry, skill and difficulty)

YouTube - Frank Worthington Super Goal!

I saw Big Frank play a few times at the end of his career, he was class, no doubt. That instant first touch, and incredible vision was still there.

Ronaldinho against Chelsea where he scored literally standing and with very little apparent movement.
