    **Official** Indian Premier League (XIV-XV)

Note that this will not go ahead if there is not sufficient participation.

Here's how I envision it happening this time:

    1. Everyone who wishes to make him/herself available must post in this thread stating so. Do not publicly state what club you wish to sign for. Each player must also decide on a value out of 20, that they hope to be bought for in auction. (e.g. I might post LA Camps - 6). Note that a player may not then be bought in auction for less than the original asking price, but may be bought for more (as in any auction). The minimum asking price is 4.

    Thus far...
    XPA Rose - 15
    GM Thomas - 13
    KR Clapham - 12
    SE Fuller - 12
    DP Smith - 10
    NS Pickup - 10
    CR Butler - 8
    AP Chaulk - 8
    AJ Crampton - 7
    AEK Maina - 7
    RF Bowen - 7
    NG Scott - 6
    DP Richards - 6
    JR Gray - 5
    DY Dubb-Lynch - 5
    JJD Heads - 5
    BC Cunningham - 5
    BC Donald - 5
    DK Rai - 4
    G Sriram - 4 [Indian]
    GN Nayak - 4 [Indian]
    M Rapp - 4
    M Corrin - 4
    JJ Ritchie - 4
    MP West - 4
    BJ Robb - 4
    BJ Goff Jr.- 4
    MJ Smith - 4
    T Bochat - 4
    JMP Wilson - 4
    DH Cole - 4
    DA Kearsley - 4
    CJ Dinnen - 4
    DRP Taylor - 4
    KJ Gough - 4
    B Hawker - 4
    RG Dunn - 4
    KS Wright - 4

    2. Persons may volunteer to manage the franchises:
    Bangalore - GN Nayak
    Rajasthan - DH Cole
    Mumbai - CR Butler
    Deccan - AJ Garven
    Delhi - KJ Gough
King's XI Punjab - JJD Heads
    Kolkata - G Sriram
    Chennai - BC Fitzsimmons
First come, first serve in that regard. Please do not volunteer to manager unless you're serious.

Considering the existing squads (hyperlinked above), managers then may make 2 changes:

    1. Add one CW player to the squad. Every team must sign a CW player (otherwise it's really not worth it) in this first auction period.

Now pay attention here. Each team may submit an initial list of 8 players, along with the proposed bids (posted in this thread).
    eg. 1. A Player - 7
    2. B Player - 5
    3. C Player - 5
    etc.

There will be a 48-hour period for those submissions. After all lists are in, if a player is only bid on by one franchise, that franchise may sign the player. Still with me? OK. If there is more than one bid for any player, the highest bid is considered. And if that bid is not surpassed within a further 48-hour period, the highest bidder may sign the player.

Note that because every team must sign at a CWer, if a franchise chooses not to use the second 48-hour bidding period, the franchise will automatically sign the highest valued player on its list that has not been signed elsewhere.

Should 2 teams be locked on an equal bid at the end of the period (eg. if both Delhi and Deccan bid 16 for Camps) the player may choose which of the teams he/she prefers to sign for.

    End of round one auction.

    2. With the remaining points a franchise may sign a second CW player, via the same process - initial list, followed by auction period. However to do so, the franchise must first pick an existing foreign player to cut loose.

Now I've tried to make this as complicatedly simple as possible. Hopefully people can get the hang of it. But hey, I'll not be torn up if people aren't keen on the IPL. Less work for me after all.

Sreesanth said, "Next ball he was beaten and I said, 'is this the King Charles Lara? Who is this impostor, moving around nervously? I should have kept my mouth shut for the next ball - mind you, it was a length ball - Lara just pulled it over the church beyond the boundary! He is a true legend."

Would be glad to manage the Knight Riders again, and see if I can do better than Buchanan.

EDIT: Available as a player too, unless I'm not allowed that. 4 points.

The scheduling should have it taking place in the last third of County cricket. But of course it's up to the player which contract he prefers to honour. You can choose to play for your County until the IPL, or play through the IPL, play part of the IPL and return to England etc.

Will stay in Australia this time around after the disaster of a time I had last year.
The one, the only CW Black
    Code:
    47.3 W Coppinger to Heads
Smacked the ball straight into the groin of Iwuajoku who has fallen over,
miraculously with the ball still caught in his scrotal area! Out!

Hmm, then I may as well. I won't be arriving until after the end of QLD's season though.

Can I play for who I played for last time out (I think it was Deccan or Dehli) or do I have to be re-auctioned? If so, I'll put myself up for 10.
