You'll Never Walk Alone
noooooooooooooooooooooooooo!! so close... i personally blame neil for not getting more runs... i dont think bowling was TOO much of a problem and batting was great in the 2nd innings, but the team is still looking for that all-round good performance. well done halsey, neil, toogood and cloete... amongst others.

but the team is still looking for that all-round good performance.
That comment would be right at home in either this thread or the CW 'A' thread. Both teams have been playing like that.

Been away for a few days, disappointing that we have been beaten in the series but there are many pluses to be taken from this tour.

Come on boys, we can do better than this. :)

Headline - CW XI ODI squad named

The Cricket Web ODI squad to compete in a 3-game stint against Pakistan, starting Saturday, was named today. There were few major surprises in the 16-man squad, with ODI specialists, Mr Mxyzptlk, Lord of Darkness and Bugssy coming in and Test specialists, Broncoman and Peter Young sitting out. Rich_2001, Cloete, Blewy and World Cup hero, Marc71178, make up the nucleus of a powerful batting order and left-hander Eclipse retains his place despite some dodgy ODI form of late.

As with the Test squad, however, there were the fresh faces among the experience. Ash Chaulk is all set to make his international debut as reward for an outstanding rookie season with the Cricket Web Green team. With him is the consistent C Buts, who has maintained an average of over 40 in both forms of domestic cricket since his debut in the Dev League. Eyes Only makes her way into the squad presumably as the backup 'keeper for Ash Chaulk.

In the bowling department, Neil Pickup and Mr Ponting will lead the attack as the most experienced of the bowlers and indeed with the most outstanding records to date. Due the retirement of Lucky Eddie, Top Cat and Rik, there will be opportunities for Mr Wright, David Jr and of course, the returning Master Blaster, to establish themselves. Master Blaster has played a difficult path in his career to date, but determined bowling over the course of the Dev League Season 6 sees him return to international service where he'll hope to make a staying impact this time around.

Unfortunately, there was no room for prospects Tom Halsey, Xavier Rose and Jason Toogood.

To no one's surprise, Blewy has been retained as captain and Cloete as his deputy.

The full squad:

Blewy (C) (Red/RHB/RM), Cloete (vc) (Red/RHB/LS), Ash Chaulk (Green/RHB/WK), Rich_2001 (Green/RHB/LS), Eclipse (Green/LHB), Marc71178 (Red/RHB/RM), C Buts (Blue/RHB/RMF), Neil Pickup (Red/RHR/LS), Mr Wright (Red/RHB/RFM), David Jr. (Red/RHB/RF), Mr Ponting (Red/RHB/RF), Bugssy (Red/RHB/RMF), Mr Mxyzptlk (Green/RHB/RFM), Lord of Darkness (Blue/RHB/OS), Master Blaster (Green/RHB/RFM).

a guy averages 100 and is not considered a prospect. this is just crap
Not that a justification is needed, but take a look at your first season and you might find a clue as to why you're still waiting.
