Oh no... There goes Kane. He didn't look his usual self this inning. Looked a little unsure. Hoping for a match changing knock from the every positive Rocco now.

What's going on.... We're now batting like Sri Lanka did around tea last night. Two very crucial wickets thrown away :-(

Prime time for Latham to make Flem eat **** and score a cross country skiing ton to set up an overseas win.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
I was just thinking "gee I don't really remember Latham and Nicholls batting together much, it always seems to be Latham and Kane or Latham and Taylor" so looked the stats up out of curiosity.

Going by average, Nicholls is Latham's best partner. 7 innings, 599 runs @ 99.83 for them. Almost 50 runs better than the next (decent sample size) of 50.17 with Kane.

In the Boxing Day Test vs SL last summer Latham got 176 and Nicholls 162*. Nicholls also got 50 in the first test when Latham got his big double hundred

This is not going to plan. Ah well. Maybe it’ll still rain for a couple of days!

A warm up match would have been nice.

Going by their efforts in SA recently, SL seem to be the only international Test side who have a clue when it comes to chasing tricky 4th innings targets.

Nah reckon 200 is 50:50
Yeah sorry I agree. I was being sarcastic.

Hate to be negative. But there are about 37 overs left today. And then the weather really doesn’t look too good for Day 4 at least. I wonder if they’ve got “save the test” in their thinking at all yet? They’ll do very well to get another 100 from here.

if santner can't even take wickets in the subcontinent and is going to bat like that he can be a white ball specialist forever tbh
