    Screenshot_2019-02-15 KK 93 0 (9 6 ov, LS Livingstone 44 , Babar Azam 44 , AD Russell 0 17) - Li.png Classic Livingstone. Play in the PSL currently

Ended with 82 off 43 in the end. Looked overawed and out of his depth when he played those couple of t20s for England but it's a decent standard PSL so runs here and he'll be in consideration again for the England T20 side.

Understandable he was on debut then, guy's incredibly talented think he has more of a future in the longer formats though to be honest

Would love it if we were getting trounced in the ashes while Maxwell was scoring domestic tons a few kms down the road. Maybe he's targeting the mid series call up lol

De Villiers coming to Middlesex for the T20 apparently. Not sure even Ab can get Middlesex out of the group stages the way they play.

It's not particularly helpful that Stirling come and goes to play for Ireland too. Maybe a t20 contract as overseas. It's the end of 2019 season that the Irish become overseas player right?
Annoying thing is that last season was his best for us. Even In the cc he wasn't great but had a decent enough season batting at 5 and being a slow bowling option. He played every game that he was available for and only missed a few for Ireland duty. In the short stuff he was easily our best bat scoring very quickly opening. He really found his place last year and am sure would go onto have an even better one this season, he might be a decent enough overseas player to sign in 2 years time anyway.

    No second opener currently.

Need some of their youngsters to really break through. Harry Brook could be a star. Him and Zac Crawley(kent) doing well in sydney grade cricket right. Maybe two options for the top order for England in the long term.

Olivier signs on kolpak. What is happening to SA?

Funny on the yorkshire part. Gale has came round to these kolpaks he seemed to dislike.

Glad with the signing of Olivier but it feels like we are colluding in the decline of Test cricket. Having lost Plunkett & Brooks we needed a quality recplacement. Coda, Olivier & Patterson . One of Bresnan, Fisher, Pilans, Shaw, Willey or Waite to take the other place. A decent batsman & we should be safe from relegation this coming season.

I agree I would not be happy if middlesex signed a kolpak. A decent overseas would be nice though!

There's never going to be another English-born 145+ km/h bowler is there?

(No one innings from Wood doesn't count, plus he's been around a while)

There aren't that many regular 145+ guys in the world in general but yeah England certainly doesn't bring many (or any) through on a regular basis.

Certainly no-one in the early 20s or teens who I think will be absolute rapid.

Zac Chappell is a bit more well known and did well with the lions this winter. Moved to Notts this winter. Again at present he's more high 80s mph rather than early 90s. Hit the wicket hard type
Henry Brookes of Warwickshire burst through last year at Warwickshire before getting injured mid season. Was high 80s and the occasional early 90s in white ball cricket. Only 18 at the time. Decent control and skills too. Likely a future England player although I doubt he'll be a tearaway quick.
Saqib Mahmood of Lancs is again more of the same. High 80s in all likelihood. Skiddy quick. COuld be useful with the white ball. Drops his arm to get the ball tailing in.
Tom Barber and George Garton probably the two capable of the quickest speeds. Both hit the 92/93/94 speed on tv, although not on regular basis. Neither however have shown the fitness or skills to merit first team selection for their counties as yet. Not sure the counties will have the patience to keep working with them to improve their game. Out and out quicks have very limited use in English county game. If they are good they would get in the England team almost straight away. If they are average then the counties find it better off picking the medium pace dobber.

Two punts who are basically second team cricketers at present are Jack Blatherwick at Notts who I think is quite quick, and Jared Warner at Yorkshire. Maybe flops but may break through.

Saw a bit of Barber last summer (or was it the summer before?) - he looked really special, but then seemed to disappear without trace

Sprays it a bit and struggles bowling quick for more than 4 overs. T20 likely to be his strongest format
