This BD team is so talented but so soft. They don't have the stomach for a fight, their self belief has grown over the years but you still see them freeze in tough situations and succumb to panic and the 'I'd rather be anywhere else' syndrome. They haven't yet learned how to gut it out, play ugly cricket, scrap and claw and fight for every inch. You push them they fall. They're still in their comfort zone when they're the underdog and have nothing to lose and their opponents are complacent. Put any weight of expectation on them, or put them agaisnt a side that's desperate to beat them, and they just concede.

So disappointing.
43 a.o. and 200/2 is just horrid really. They were quite decent between mid-2015 to the Australian series last year, and genuinely competitive in Asia. Since the SA tour, they have regressed badly.

One begins to understand why the Australian BCCI thought that it would be prudent to ask Bangladesh to stay at home.

Just a bit of discipline outside offstump was needed

Always been a fan of Roach and he should be good to go in the second innings.
He's one of very few bowlers in the last twenty+ years who've come back after injury has robbed them of some of their pace but still managed to be consistent wicket takers. Always loved watching him bowl.

tbf since SA they've only played SL in between.

They've just never been good (and also haven't played enough) outside of SC type conditions so it's tough to say that they've regressed. The one time they were decent was in NZ where they lost by 7-10 wickets in both games. SA was a walkover and before that the last time they played in unfamiliar conditions was way back in 2010 when they toured England.

If they get spanked by WI or something at home in Asia then I'll agree they've regressed.

How disgusting are posters who hop into tour threads not featuring their own team just to kick the fans of the losing side when they're down?

Not surprised to see Burgey join those ranks tbh.

Yeah really enjoy his action. He definitely fell away for a little while but having Gabriel and Holder contributing has helped him for sure
