The low cloud around here is likely to make it difficult to complete the full number of overs in terms of bad light anyway. Required rate getting up and around 4 now; I *think* we have weathered the storm, however we are England.

Bingo. Said this yesterday. South Africa could have comfortably have scored 50 more batting with virtual safety. Letting Root bowl at Amla/Faf was really negative.

Not sure it's quite what you meant but Nagpur 2012 was somewhat similar in that we had a very marginal 1st innings lead and ended up having to bat the best part of two days. Was a massive pancake like this one too but India didn't make it difficult.

You get infractions for avoiding the swear filter so I guess doing it in Hindi is same as avoiding it in English. (Not advocating infractions obviously just saying).

If he put more work on the ball with his fingers he'd be pretty good imo. Uses all of his body to get that nice flight but it doesn't dip drift or turn at all.

Good partnership between these two. Bairstow becoming a valuable batsmen for the team. Just hope he can undergo a Prior like improvement in his keeping as him at 7 is a really solid spot for him.
