Starting with the WK poll.

I've gone for all those keepers with 100+ dismissals. Some crowd pleasers like Engineer miss out. But I have to draw the line somewhere and 100 dismissals sound fair for an AT XI

Sanga by quite a distance. Will be a shame if he or one of the other great batsmen miss out because of the "keeper slot"

Toss up between Bari and Kirmani for me.

MSD not good enough with the gloves or bat for a Test ATXI. Sanga is better when he's not a keeper, will probably make the side as a batsman alone.

Prassana is good too, but Bari is very highly spoken of, and I figure he's a bit of an underdog in this poll, so I've gone for him.

If there was some brilliant all rounder like Gilchrist available then it'd be hard, but as it is Sanga is just too good. Kept wicket for 7 years in tests and 15 years in ODIs and I don't remember anyone having a problem with it.

Seriously not having Engineer in the poll?? My vote goes to him.

Of the rest listed here, would go for Sanga

I know who my first choice spinner is going to be; and he is going to win the spinner's poll too. so I am going with the keeper who was brilliant keeping to him.

I didn't see engineer keep but by all accounts he can take the his place among the finest in terms of talent.

Recently found out that wasim bari rated by Alan knott as the best. Kirmani worth a shout as well.

No doubt that sangakkara is by far the best batsman in this lot. In fact he might be able to make the team on batting alone.

I can't recall much of sangakkara s test keeping. How was it?

What do you mean "might"?

Went for Kirmani since Imran or Kapil Dev will probably occupy the No.7 spot, and therefore keeping skill is at a premium.

Went with Sangakkara.

Do agree that Engineer should be there though. Also considered picking a better pure keeper as there are plenty of subcontinental bowling options who can bat. Still someone very good would be missing in the middle order if we went with a Kirmani or a Latif.

Using number of dismissals as a cut off point is a complete nonsense. It's obviously an integral part of his job but he's heavily reliant on the quality of his bowling attack.
