I think Mominul needs to be at 4, with Mahmudullah at 3. Mushfiqur batting down there gives the batting a bit of depth so I don't have much of an issue with him batting down there especially for a team like this.

On the game itself, this is an important innings for Shuvagata Hom. A good not out here could help cement his spot in the side for the next little while. Looks like a draw coming up but you never know with these two sides.
Mahmudullah is already having nose bleeds batting at 4, he won't bat at 3, I'm surprised he took the option of batting at 4 as in the past he has declined. Best batting order would be if Mushy gives up the gloves (it's not like he is a Test standard WK anyway) and bats at 3, Mominul at 4, Shakib at 5 and Mahmudullah at 6, with either another batsman at 7 (Nasir Hossain) and WK at 8 (Nurul Hasan), or a WK-batsman at 7 (Anamul haque Bijoy).

Yeah would not be adverse to this. Bangers don't need the "extra" bowling spot that Rahim keeping the gloves gives them with Shakib being a top class allrounder and Marmadoola and Nasir offering a few decent overs.

Bangladesh basically need to stack the batting, wheel out two specialist spinners (or even just Shakib since Marmadoola can bowl) and pick two seamers with a little bit of hope (Robiul and Al Amin)

Some **** opener
Some **** number three
Momomominul
Some **** number five
Shakib
Rahim
Marmamamamamadoola
Nasir the specialist #9 batsman who bowls a bit
Robiul
Al Amin

actually put that Taijul bloke in there for Al Amin. Nasir to open the bowling with Robiul bowling his mediums.

Haha you haven't watched much recent Bangers stuff I'm guessing. Marma, Shakib and Rahim are all batting higher in the order to great success.

Yeah I'll go with that, as long as Mominul moves back down to 4, as it is his best position.

Looks like Kayes will be brought back to open in the next test, With Shamsur Rahman dropping out.

oh my dat bowling attack! BD would struggle to get 5 wickets nevermind 20, Shakib's arm would drop off from bowling so many overs

Woah, I thought he looked pretty terrible from the little I saw. Does that mean the ban on Ajmal has more credibility? Atleast the anti-Asia conspiracy theories can piss off now right?

this is brewing up nice after the boring first hour; next two sessions should be exciting, do BD have enough overs to get the remaining 8 wickets?

Shakib is becoming pretty elite, isn't he?

He'd make any side in the world as a bowler, and any side in the world as a batsman. IMO.

Na not as a batsman. AU/SA/IND arguably wouldn't.

Not far off though.
I'd have him in my top six for any of those teams. Better than Doolan/Watson/either Marshes at 3 or 6. Better than Rohit/Raina whoever India put at 6. SA is a bit more tricky but I'd still probably have him there ahead of Duminy.

Looks like Bangladesh will win, well done them. When is the 3 match series in Zimbabwe planned for? What both sides need is to play more and against a team around their level so it not just a total mismatch.
