***Official*** New Zealand Domestic Season 2014/15

Good to see Nicholls doing well against an international attack, 1000 List A runs for him now at 41 (SR 89).

That ton he made at the Basin last Sunday was really good to watch, with a nice combination of hustling strike rotation, decent power and shot variety. His wagon wheel was a bit of a Hesson/Bradburn fantasy, well-balanced tstl -

Yeah, and he's just brought up his hundred. Seifert not out on 32, good opportunity for him. Presidents XI making a good fist of the chase.

update: Seifert on 89. Nailbiting finish.

A win to the President's XI. Though I think it's a farce that "Old Man River" got selected for the World Cup ahead of Seifert.

Oh, **** it. It was one of those 12 man farce spectacles, so none of those runs will count to anyone's statistics. Such a load of bollocks.

Even more ridiculous that Pakistan didn't use their 12th man by the looks of it.

Seifert with another big FU to the ND coaches and selectors. Hardly doubt he sticks around after this season, should be playing regular domestic cricket by now.

Huh? He is playing regularly. And not particularly well
Hes playing Presidents XI because ND got knocked out early.

Seifert is a good enough bat to be playing as a batsman alone with Watling back IMO, as he showed today against an international team batting up the order. Granted with Devcich, Brownlie, Flynn, Mitchell, Watling and Santner in the top six opputunties are slim but he should be ahead of the likes of Hickey and Wilson who have both been given gametime in the top six this summer. Hell he probably won't be seen again all summer after these two games unless Watling gets a random call up to the World Cup team.

From what I've seen of him you wouldn't want him in your top 4 or 5, but then Devcich keeps sneaking in there so...

Popli has also taken his chances iirc so the top 5 is pretty booked out. Flynn, Brownlie, Carter, Mitchell has to be your top four.

Nicholls looks very legside dominant, and he reaches/flays at the ball a bit through the offside doesn't he?

Still, he's making his game work and that's what we want.

I think his backlift is a bit too angled to really access the offside as well as he can access the leg side.

Seiffert making a habit of getting 100s in games that will never exist. Got one in an U19s 'test' that became an un-test when Buchanan and co turned into a rugby game farce.

Looked like a nice wrongun that Sodhi got Neesham with in the semifinal.
OTAGO VOLTS vs NORTHERN KNIGHTS

Ford Trophy Season over for ND, a good one for Sodhi. His career List A record is now actually more than respectable. I assume his record in other formats will follow.
