anyways,,,,bangladesh played well
Given that he's been routinely outbowled by the part-timers on this tour, isn't it about time that NcCullum got consigned to the scrapheap? Seriously, if he stays in the team for much longer it's hard to see it as anything other than nepotism. He's the side's specialist spinner on a tour of the sub-continent, and yet hasn't been asked to bowl through his full 10 once so far ffs. People say that we have no one better, but even Jeets averages 10 runs less per wicket than him in ODI's (note: I'm saying this to put NcCullum's performances into context, not to suggest that Jeets be recalled)
Wouldn't be against Patel in ODIs tbh. Vettori will be back eventually anyway.
nah there are plenty ahead of Jeets for ODIs. Probably one of the domestic t20 specialists has a better shot
Or just don't play a specialist spinner until Dan is back. Devcich/Williamson may be enough outside the SC.
NcCullum really has been poor on a tour in which he's meant to be the senior option. Wouldn't drop him completely, but I would be trying out other options.
Patel is far better than any of our other specialist spin bowlers. He was actually half-decent in the format, unlike test matches.
When's the last time he played limited overs cricket?
I've given up rooting against Devcich although I did give a small fist pump to see he was dismissed cheaply last night (before I realised it won't count against his stats).
The next step will be for him to be fast tracked into the leadership group. Which isn't impossible given the limited experience of the others.
To be fair to him if he scores a ton against SL on this tour then I will come around to him somewhat.
Why on earth are they trying for another day-nighter tomorrow, in a coastal town in the wet season. Insurance scam perhaps.
SL forced to abandon their youth policy for the next 2 games with the series on the line, would've thought they'd be a little more willing to experiment tbh, would be kinda funny if NZs second string side beat them now
