Will some players be so prone to "potential" injuries that they won't get picked at all ?

"Don't bother bowling son. We've scanned you, you're gonna be a crock" ;)

Probably true, but the problem now is guys in their mid to late 20s are also going down with random injuries because they are never bowling fit. As they never bowl enough when they are younger, to get their bodies used to demands of bowling fast. It all good to promote the resting policy as allowing bowlers to be injury free when they get older. But simple facts are they are still getting consistent random injuries when they are older. It is not working to keep older bowlers on the park for extended periods.
who exactly are you referring to? Guys like Hilfenhaus were bowling spinner like workloads in domestics.

Siddle, Johnson, Bollinger, Tait, Lee, Watson, Hastings, McKay etc. Even Hifenhaus has had consistent injuries the last couple seasons. Since the started to reduce his bowling workload. When he was injury free it was when he was bowling big overs at domestic level.

"Nuwan Kulasekara misses out as he's injured. Dhammika Prasad takes his place."

Hopefully he latest outperforms MJ, though I'm sure he will take more bad habits from watching him bowl, rather then just trying to bowl like him.
