Bowlers aren't robots, when trying to bowl full and straight they will occasionally slip on to the pads.
WHO CARES. If he bowls rubbish, the ball is going to go for 4. Who cares about the 4 runs. The fielder in that instance should have clearly been in a catching position.

Now the commentators are talking about the dropped catch; if AB was standing up a little (you know since the batsman are looking to play with soft hands) it's quite a simple catch..

But carry on, just play Cricket normally, if you end up drawing you still win the series.

Or he could just tap it away for a single and get off strike. A bowler needs to be able to work a batsman over to get them out, you can't have easy single opportunities everywhere. Especially so with time so limited.

Have you forgotten the situation in particular that I am referring to? There were 2 balls left in the over Bracewell on strike - it's not a problem if he hits a single as he's going to face the next over. ALL the fieldsman had to be up. Also, a batsman is unlikely to make runs down to fine leg from good bowling..

Anyway what I am suggesting is: The slips and everyone in fact should move a yard or two in. Fine Leg needs to be abandoned, he can be a short cover, an extra slip, a leg slip - just not a bloody fine leg with Bracewell on strike.

Laughable.. Fine leg still out on the boundary and he doesn't prevent anything. Poor ball, poor captaincy, great work NZ.
