Given that Watson has already bowled 6 overs, is Smith's bowling being slowly phased out? It would be a step towards giving him a proper role. But as I have said before, I don't think he can really be considered worthy of a place on his batting alone.

So, it looks like they went for it that over. Credit to Xman for throwing it up and getting the scalp.

They committed cricketing suicide a while back, when someone decided that pissing around at below four per over would be a good idea. See it from the Blackcaps all the time.

brilliant captaincy tbh. bring on white and get the batsmen in the hitting mood and then bring back the real spinner

tbh i do still think it's worth bowling White every now and then. Noone's saying he has to bowl a full spell but in the past he was talented enough to bowl an over here and there and try to break a partner ship.
He did look dire today though.

Yeah but can't be too hard on them, it is Bangladesh and the pitch isn't giving the Aussies much so whilst it's hard to score, it's hard to get blokes out too.

EDIT: Some serious caution against some pedestrian bowling, but.

They way Bangladesh are batting, you'd think ever inch of the boundary had a fielder on it. FFS, terrible batting. Massive risks being taken just to heave it to the bloke in the deep.

Harsh tbh, this ain't the easiest pitch to bat on. If anything shows how badly the fell apart at the end of the bowling innings to let Johnson and a one-handed Clarke pillage them like so.
