Quite excited about this series even though it's just two tests. South Africa has the best record in India over the last 20 years, IIRC an even record in terms of tests won and lost over 4 series. I only wish they hadn't wasted a test in Nagpur where I am sure we will see pitiful crowds over the five days. Give places like Nagpur the extra ODI or TT game and keep tests only in the 5-6 big cities.

RSA seamers – 37.4 overs 8 for 128

Spinners and McLaren – 37 overs 1 for 183

Tour Match: Indian Board President's XI v South Africans at Nagpur, Feb 2-3, 2010 | Cricket Scorecard | Cricinfo.com

Apparently the Indian top five were all taken out by the short ball and Parnell got the ball to reverse nicely.

Might as well go in with four seamers (Steyn, Morkel, Parnell and Tsotsobe), hope to bat first and then bat for four days giving Sehwag the fifth day to score a double duck.

I'd go in with Botha. He's been a star with the bat and been consistent with the ball this season. Deserves a shot given that he can tweak it more than Harris.

Well, it's an Indian tour match tradition to go after opposition spinners and try to get them dropped so teams will go with four pace bowlers and then prepare a dustbowl.

I think SA should still go in with four seamers, but these tour matches are designed to make opposition spinners look bad..

Wow I didn't even know this was allowed. Have there been other tour games with more than 11 players?

63 ret hurt off 58 balls for everyone's favourite boring batsman.

I think very few people who like Test cricket call him boring. His criticism is often that he is selfish. I am not saying I agree with it, but that's been what people say - he plays for himself, not the team, despite clearly having the ability play at multiple gears.

I don't care if I sound stupid but Pandey should replace Yuvraj in tests when the time comes.
