Warne. But i think both Murali & him should be the team of the decade.

Went for Murali. He's taken so many wickets this decade it's hard to ignore.

Went for Warme, remove Bangladesh and Zimbabwe and there's very little to seperate him and Murali stats wise, so Warne shades it on the basis of his epic 2005 Ashes series, which was some of the finest bowling anyone could hope to see.

80 more wickets with an average 2 lower excluding bang and zim, still a little bit really.

Warne's got a better strike rate.

They've had almost exactly the same number of innings, yet Murali's bowled 1,100 more overs than Warne, so had Warne bowled the same number of overs, he'd have more wickets than Murali.

Warne's also had to deal with flat home decks - averages 29 in Australia for the decade.

Yah I know but thats more than just excluding Bang/Zim.

Would say personally that Murali bowled better this decade.

tough to split warne and murali. will choose warne later, and hopefully that will also keep kallis out of the team with flintoff or pollock winning the allrounder's slot because they were better bowlers than jacques

And an SR 5 points inferior. Warne was so good in the 00s - despite the start of it being riddled by injuries - that he strikes as good as Glenn McGrath. That is simply unbelievable that the best spinner is as fast a wicket-taker as the best pacer of the day/one of all time.

Warne in Ashes 05 was Bradman-like. Unbelievably good but just one moment (catch) from absolute immortality. In 04 in Sri Lanka, Warne and Murali were both at peak and Warne was clearly the star there.

Not to mention Warne bowls in Australia for half his tests.
