WTF no Wellington players? GAGFC not like we weren't one of the best attacks throughout.
O'Brien, Franklin and Patel are Black Caps though. Gillespie is Gillespie, and the rest include Dwayne Bowden etc. The spinners Houghton and Woodcock maybe but they went for Nethula and oddly, Beard.

Speaking of Boult, how come he didnt get a callup for this team? He made the BlackCaps ODI squad last year and NZ A, and he's definitely an emerging youngster. Injured perhaps?

He is playing cricket over in England at the moment, so he isn't injured. The NZ selectors did say that because he has played a lot for NZA over the last year that he didn't really need to play in this tournament, although Southee's selection seems strange then doesn't it.

NZ U-19s obviosuly gotten wind of this forum.

I should probably be nicer about Michael Guptill-Bunce, Anarug Verma and a couple of others then..

The NZ selectors are retards. Our best up and comers should be getting the best quality game time possible. I think it's safe to say Boult > Davis, Bennett, Shaw.

Glad to hear you arent injured though :)

Te Ahu Davis can take lots of wickets, but he gets an RPO of 8+ with it (yes I exaggerated), so it makes those wickets a bit irrelevant.

A slower, poor mans Shaun Tait IMO.

13 wickets in 7 FC matches @ 43.00 and econ of 3.98 (and a worse List A record) tend to suggest he's neither a wicket taker nor a containing bowler. Obviously it's a pretty small sample so perhaps he can amount to something decent.

Fully expect him to feel the pain on the flat Aussie pitches.

Any news on who is in the Indian side?
