    Victoria should have chased 270

Very gettable target on that pitch.

Start lacked impetus. QLD always looked like choking Victoria dry.

Kind of underwhelming, watching this game on TV.

How hilarious was the echo every time the ball hit the bat.

Nah, Flintoff is a totally different player.

I think his batting is much more technically sound than someone like Hopes - more like a Watson. His bowling resembles that of Hopes though,

You have no idea how crap it was being there. Boring match tbh, despite it being the final. Was set up to be a good game but the lack of good bowling and a disappointing atmosphere (hell, there was no atmosphere) made it crap.

Maher's knock was good, as was Perren, but Victoria were ordinary with the ball and it looked like Qld weren't even trying. They cruised to their 270+.

I blame Vic's start with the bat for the collapse, and White losing his head, but a mate of mine blames Dave Hussey. What kind of ridiculous crap is that? We argued for like 30 mins that it wasn't Hussey's fault that Victoria lost, but he reckons he played out too many dots when he first came in.

Yeah Bichel was great, I was yelling for him to come on way earlier than he did.

QLD played well, and Victoria just didn't bring their A game.

Played an unofficial 2nd XI game in December. Had a nightmare of a game, was bowling pretty ordinarily at the time, and continued to do so in that game. Bad enough for me not to get picked again. Also, Jon Holland did a great job in the second half of the season for the team, taking 2 five wicket hauls in the last two games.

Impressed Bichel is still going strong at 37.
