Best up and coming talent

Tim

Cricketer Of The Year
Alot of us like to keep tabs on who the best up & coming players are from all the different countries. Who do you think are the best from the respective countries?
And im not talking about a guy who plays U17 for India or an unknown guy playing grade cricket in Christchurch. They must have played U19's or for an 'A' team of some sort.

From what i've seen Piyush Chawla has been making big strides and Mark Cosgrove from Australia could be a fairly lethal opening bat.

Is he the middle-order bat who bowls a bit of medium pace? Apparently he was pretty special in U19 cricket, faded a touch and is now making a comeback in the Pakistan A side. Should get a chance once Inzi retires and can then jump on merry-go-round of Pakistani selection.

From what I've seen/heard: Shikhar Dhawan, Piyush Chawla, Ishant Sharma, Shahbaz Nadeem, Cheteshwar Pujara, Billy Godleman, Sam Northeast, Stuart Broad, Saqibul Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Jamshed Ahmed, Anwar Ali.

Henriques is the obvious one.
Yeah, among the younger group in Australia it's definately Henriques, who seems like a huge prospect with the ball in particular.

From the more experienced players, Jaques is very likely to have a successful test career IMO, and among the bowlers Mitchell Johnson has improved out of sight in the last year or so, and could yet be very good.

Back Home in NZ, its a couple of Batsmen, Jesse Ryder, and Ross Taylor, and a couple of young fast bowlers, Richard Sherlock, and Te Ahu Davis (both bowl in the 140-150kph range)

Yea I keep noticing Benning blazing faster than a run a ball half centuries, playing for Surrey he'll get a lot of good batting wickets but his stats are pretty good, especially for the C&G this season.

The sooner Rashid replaces Monty in the England team the better...

well Broad's done a good job of impressing me each time he's played. Not top pace yet(low 80's) but still only 20 and growing, apparently he'll end up 6 foot 8. Can see him and Tom Smith opening the bowling for England as they did for the under-19's

Stuart Broad impressed me today with his line and length and looks like one for England. Maybe he could play for them in the upcoming tests against Pakistan if Mahmood or Lewis dont perform.

Jacques is just about there and Cosgrove looks special.
Ryder and a few Kiwi bowlers seem talented from the scorecards.
From Pakistan ... Jamshed Ahmed is solid with Ali & Amjad as the wild-cards.
From India ... Dhawan and Sharma soon and Pujara in several years, Chawla obviously. Way down the line are Nadeem (only 16) and Nabi (pacy).

If Shahid Yousuf can get his act together then he is definatley a star for the future.

Hafeez?
