It's because of The Ashes.

Magnificent.
I worship the ground he walked on - Derbyshire loved Eddie and Eddie loved Derbyshire. Such a mild-mannered, bespectacled giant of a man who won games through sheer force of will.

Mike Trapido mentioned earlier today that it's something about Derbyshire and South African people - we always just seem to get on so well with each other.

What do you expect, with both Simon Francis and Gareth Andrew playing?
Oi!! Gareth bowled pretty well I'll have you know!

Great batting from Arul...93n.o. & a typical quick-fire 30-something from Blackie :)

Gillespie really doing well so far this season...
His average is below 50 - that's a huge improvement on 2005 - he must like the green tops.

Anyway, he's a batsman now.

The bowling's just a bonus.

Look at his First Class statistics. They are magnificent. He is very unlucky not to have played more games for Australia as he is probably one of the strongest First-Class players in the County Championship at the moment not to mention one of the most reliable. He came in when Yorks were 4/20 the other day and belted a magnificent 100.

Runs: 23,692
HS: 301*
Avg: 57.64
100's: 76
50's: 106

And his bowling figures are respectable fore a batsman too with 111 wickets at 35.

Clarke finished his 11 ball over with 1-0-22-0, 3 no-balls and 2 wides. Surrey still getting smashed, Worcestershire 160-0 off 16 overs chasing 285.

I'd missed his 57* from 23 balls - all hail Rikki, the 3rd of the 3 icons, and both who've played today are starring.

How long have the Pears got left?

Looks like Worcs could run out of time here. How the hell did they score so quickly, given that Surrey could put everyone back on the fence?

Worcestershire! Ray with a crucial 5 at the end! Zimbabwe lives again!

All right, so Khan hit the six, but he couldn't have done it without Ray.
