Mediocre is fine in IV if you have a superb+ top order and good bowling ratings.
I can go prof top, med middle or comp top, resp middle, and I'm in Div 4. Mind you, my batting is my weakest suit, and I'm a lower-middle table dweller, but having a mediocre middle order hardly means you're going to lose every game.

Grrr got put into bat again against a team I'll probably skittle again. Waste of PFL, especially seeing how Packer keeps getting out for crapola against some donkey.

Seneviratne and Munroe won me the match. Everyone else was pretty much ineffectual.

Won my cup match today by 7 wickets. Bowled first on their dusty pitch and restricted them well, they had a collapse of 9/38 in the final 10. My batsmen scored the runs comfortably, their gun allrounder had a bit of an off match aswell.

Its my first time iv made it into the 5th round of the cup and am up against Burnt Out Koalas CC. They look as tho they have a fairly solid line up, strong top n prof middle batting and prof seam n superb spin bowling, will have to be playing at my best if i am to beat them next week.

Sorry I wasn't much competition, Clapo.
:D nps mate, i was able to try a few different things with my bowling attack, and tbh got some pleasing results :) Groves will probably be relegated to bowl @ 1st change more often, as this is the only the 2nd time he's bowled 1st change (the previous time being last season) and those 2 innings have netted him 2 of his best 5 bowling performances.

Just lost Wheat for a run-a-ball 84. Doesn't seem to be that high scoring a pitch, better not be when I bowl anyway... Summers and Pace are bowling straight through against superb-feeble-woeful batting ratings.

Meh Armstrong missed out on a century, should slaughter their death bowling tho so should still get up to near the 300 mark.

Pretty happy with the team preformances against a Div 1 side. They just missed out on the 200, but they got pretty close:

Samvirkelaget 4/329 Jeithoon 3/56(10), Sisk 1/69(10)

beat

Jaffna Jets 189 All Out Ferrier 65(68), Ellis 37(36), Clayton 33(44)

Jaffna Jets Samvirkelaget
Top Order: respectable quality
Middle Order: competent competent
Lower Order: abysmal woeful
Seam Bowling: competent superb
Spin Bowling: competent respectable
Fielding: abysmal feeble

Very happy with Jeithoon lead his own against quality batting line up. All the bowlers got tonked, but i can see us pushing side like this in two seasons time. The batting was pretty good Ellis and Clayton did very well against their best bowler. Two of there bowlers went for 6 an over which was very surprising. Nice to see Ferrier score some runs down the order, will be interesting to see how he goes now im going stop training him for a while. Ratings are fairly steady, hoping they start to improve pretty soon though. Crowd was ok i sold out everything but the Covered seats. The fans are a bit of tight arses and don't want to pay the little bit extra. Once i get some more money i might expand the standing and sitting areas again, if we keep selling them out.

Back to friendlies now, you still want a friendly next week Mike?

Hopefully the tail will be wrapped up quickly, but there's no last 10 type collapse going so it'll probably drag on a bit.
