Was a good battle post-lunch between Warner and Anderson; quality bowling against quality patient defence.

Warner's 1st innings knock here really has been an exception to the rule to how much slower he's batted this series than usual. While England have bowled well to him I think it's mainly due to Warner putting a higher price on his wicket than usual, probably because he didn't have much faith in the rest of the batting lineup bar Smith.

I disagree with people say there is nothing to play for as this is a dead game.

In the NBA we don’t play dead game once a series is decided. However so much is on the line here for the England players a good performance tomorrow and in Sydney and a few players could be looking at IPL or BBL contracts, if that doesn’t serve as motivation for the players then I don’t know what would.
