I thought Symonds was well into his thirties? In that case he would probably come in for Hodge then. Though Hodge deserves a place as well.

Oh yes I forgot about Hiffenhaus, sorry about that. Good to see they've got some better options than Lewis. I don't know much about the two you mentioned though. What are they like compared to the other outside (IMO) contender, Johnson?

He didn't want to post here anymore and being banned takes away the lure of posting. His reasons are irrelevant anyway, he wanted to not post here anymore, who are you to judge him for it.

I wasn't judging him, just didn't understand why he would go to such measures. Respect to him for his decision, perhaps not the way he went about it though.

Noffke and Johnson both play for QLD, but are completely different bowlers, for starters Noffke is right handed, Johnson is left handed. Ashely Noffke would be close to 30, but after a few lean seasons he really picked up his game a lot last season. He reminds me a bit of Paul Reiffel. He may not get a game though unless there is an injury or two.

Johnson looks a good prospect, he hasn't played much this year though, always being 12th man. I see him more as a Test Bowler then ODI bowler at this stage, but he's yet to play a Test so we'll see what happens.

Couldn't he just stop posting though?

Of course all nations should compete.

How many people say they're not coming back then do, though? It's pretty much the norm for them to come back, and he'd "left" before. Just wanted to be banned and move on.

It's not really as simple as that - requesting a ban is a perfectly good idea I think, if you want to stop posting and feel you won't be able to resist. I thought about it the first time I left here, though I found it unexpectedly easy when I tried just stopping posting. I've discussed the matter with more than one of the younger members of the forum who will have exams in due course and the thought has crossed other minds too.

I'm just disappointed that a) he felt he had to post the porn and b) that he wants to leave us, as I think he's a top guy and a top poster. And he didn't even say goodbye!

No - but I've got a masterplan to stop them winning the WC - play every tournamnet in Australia!! (think about it, the only WC since 1983 they did not reach the Final in was the one they hosted!!) Roll on 2015!!

Why do Australia play so much better in the world cup? They certainly step up to the plate, I mean they have just been beaten by New Zealand, SA and England in recent ODI series.. Then they go mental during the WC

Here's an idea. Why don't we let the BCCI run Australian cricket for 2-3 years and let ACB run Indian or any other country's cricket. THat should even things up a bit.

Or better yet, let PCB, BCCI, ZCB, WICB take turns running CA and cricket will be gone forever from the country.

I voted yes. We should just verse the Australian Domestic teams to see who's the best in the world.
