No way is Clarke one of the 6 best bats in Oz

How the hell are Hussey, Watson, Hodge, etc batting behind him?
Until fairly recently he averaged high 40s in ODIs. He's been pretty average in the one dayers this summer, but he's certainly earned a bit of leeway from the selectors, given years of consistent performance.

Ditto. The quality of the opposition is just too good. Their fielding is pretty good and bowling isn't all that bad at all.
Yeah, they just seem to miss 1 player 135+ that can rush the batsman. They all seem good backup bowlers without having anyone capable of leading.

Clarke and Gilchrist both playing pretty lazy shots after looking in pretty good touch. His form isn't too bad with 2 half centuries and 3 scores in the 30's in the CH series.

Hoping for a no result, South African win vs. Australia and Scotland win vs. Holland. Would make things interesting.

Are there reserve days, or are they only for semis/final?
There are reserve days for every one of these games but officials are being urged to stay on timetable so they're probably going to force through finishes even though it may leave some quite stupid finales.

This is what I understand from what is being said on the radio.

Are Aussies getting the BBC feed on ABC?

Hmm, had money on 355+, but can't see it happening after the break. Not all that much motivation to slog desperately and get out, anyway. 320 odd more likely.

Nice century from Ponting.
Congrats on 7,000. :)

Is it me or are all the commentators mentioning that the boundaries are quite short? Doesn't seem like the balls are scraping over the boundary as the commentary box got hit earlier with a timed loft.

Are all the grounds like this?
