Taylor - should be fine for the first Super 8 clash
Gillespie - to be given another week and if not improved, will be sent home.

Good news about Taylor, although makes it tough for the selectors given you'd think either Mcmillan or Fulton will miss out. That is unless they take a risk with the 5th bowling option and play a lineup like....

Awesome batting lineup, but means we are relying on Styris and Macca to bowl 10 between them, although on a slow wicket it might not be the worst idea.

Probably a bit risky with a specialist like Patel in the squad, but with a pitch like the NZ V ENG game which saw the slow/medium bowlers being tougher to get away than the spinners, you never know.

I reckon it'll be Fulton who will open. The word is that Gillespie came through a final medical check and he will stay on with the team.

Gillespie sounds like he will be fine to continue now, starting fuull training soon. Good news, although the lack of match practice/fitness will definately hurt him.

Was just watching National Bank Cricket Company and Mark Richardson was interveiwing a couple of the player's wives and girlfriends. Jacob Oram's partner was a real honey, the wife of Scott Styris was very articulate and intelligent although not as attractive

Styris's wife/partner Nicky used to be a presenter for Sky Sports.

Jacob Oram's partner came 3rd in Miss New Zealand in 2003 or 2004 I think. I think Nicky Walker was also in Miss New Zealand back in the day as well
