Indeed, us who prefer twenty/20 to ODIs, could of started a "The World Cup is Boring", thread.

We resisted, even though we would of been irrefutably in the right.

You'd just have been ignored, TBH. There's far more favour for ODIs than Twenty20 on CW.

Indeed. That's why muder is illegal - because according to the masses, it's wrong.

There were quite a few threads about how boring the World Cup was, and it also spewed over into all the other threads in that section, actually.

This thread isn't too encourage Twenty20 bashing as much as it to keep the inevitable Twenty20 bashing out of the other threads in this section.

Wrong name on the first quote.

I wasn't 100% serious, but there are clearly times when what Jamee said is true - such as the example I gave.

Bennett being Bennett, though, it was more of a parody than anything.

just an idea - the bat vs. ball challenge would be more balanced in 20/20 if you cut down the number of wickets - say, to 6 or even 5. this would make the batsmen more cautious and give more motivation to the bowlers.

That was more to do with the format and the set-up of the tournament, rather than the actual game itself though. Aside from this post, I don't plan to post in this thread, despite being a society member, because I think it's just overhammering the nail.

Yes it's a tad different threads started as the thing goes on, rather then one started ages before the comp even starts
