Better ODI bat?

I'm actually surprised that Zaheer Abbas got 7 votes.

Ponting was a total gun in ODIs in the 2000s, he had Dravid's reliability and could switch to Gilchrist/Jaysuriya mode by tonking sixes.

Yep, unreal hitting given the time when ODI 100s had a strike rate of 75 on average.

lol

You do realise Abbas averaged higher and scored faster than Ponting in an era that was slower scoring and lower averaging by nature?

And where are you pulling these stats out of? The average SR for an ODI ton has always been 90+ and was almost 100 in Ponting’s time.

How does this work?
I am surprised Kapil is not in the list.
Did he miss any cutoff?

BTW Ponting's SR in 2000s is still marginally less than Zaheer Abbas' career SR.

It's fine by me if you vote for Ponting. The point of these threads should be to find out new facts about cricketers and not so much who wins the poll

I know IPL isn’t international cricket.
Rashid Khan has the second best economy rate among bowlers with 100+ wickets there.

That is still really good.

And IPL is as important (or unimportant) as T20Is.
Its definitely more important. Nobody gives a **** about T20Is. iirc the only reason we ever gave a **** was the WC because it gave us an opportunity to have all 3 titles at once?
