I'm 95% certain that you are trying to be comedically humorous here but in the unlikely 5% case where you are not, may I ask, what is the point?
The main point of your post was to stress that it's not particularly close.
Then you give stats of four countries where K.W has hardly even played, with 8 being the most of the lot. He 's only played 4 tests in S.A ffs.

Newsflash: K.W averages 54.36 in test cricket while Y.K averages 52.05

Now TBH I'm not sure who the best bat really was/is because as usual there are so many variables to take into consideration.

But seriously for you to make out that it's not even close is nothing short of pure junk.

probably impossible for kane to ever do anything as cool as the series in england where three of four tests younis jumped up and down like a coke head on a pogo stick and did nothing before smacking one of the best double tons i’ve ever seen, and i’m taking younis on that basis. incredible.

LOL a coke head on a pogo stick. Sounds like a lot of fun:)

haha 8 is plenty lot

I did not randomly pick the countries that he is bad in. For an example, Williamson averages 20 something in Sri Lanka and I didn't even mention that. The point being, England, India and South Africa were the most challenging conditions a visiting batsman not from those conditions could have come up against for the last decade or so and Williamson has collectively played 20 tests (Younis has 23 against the same opponents) in those places averaging 30 and striking at 40 and that's a hole you can't get around not when you compared to a bloke like Younis who has a great record pretty much everywhere and beats him in the longevity ground as well.

This is a massive year for Kane. Has played just two tests at home to Australia before the upcoming showdown in February/March. Tours to India/SL follow, both very stern tests for touring batsmen.

No, 71 away, 19 in Pakistan, 27 in UAE. (1 vs Australia in SL too)

Interesting in that series Younis scored 109/123 runs in his 2 innings at Colombo. Combined 14 runs across 4 innings at Sharjah
75 of his 118 tests were still in Asia tbf because he toured SL a lot. It still counts as away, but its not like he was touring England every 2 years

I'm not taking Kane's side here, but he's definitely had it tougher in England (as averages there have been mentioned). He's also never had much of a chance in SA. That said, you can't discard Younis' hundred in Newlands as that was a great knock and his best outside Asia. Younis is better in Asia.

Oh.
I can see arguments for Root, but Kohli is a far way behind.
I would definitely not say Kohli is not debatable.....

Their averages in different countries:

Kane:

Aus: 42
Eng: 30
SA: 21
SL: 26

Virat:

Aus: 54
Eng: 33
SA: 52
SL: 43

VK also averages 36 in NZ in 4 matches while Kane does 33 in India in 13; and their batting averages in home is the only important place where Kane is ahead, with 67 to his 60.... Also KW averages more in Windies and Bangladesh; but comeon. To his credit, he also has fantastic away record against Pak, but as IND doesn't play them, we can't compare directly. Now, I am not saying by these stats that Kane is worse than Virat, infact he very well could be better; but saying they atleast aren't close is bullshit.

Prediction: Kane 10 v 2 Younis (trundler and some rando)
lot closer than you are guessing

Khan is an underrated batsman, Williamson a not untypical modern overhyped player with little consideration for variables not least recency effect (and Younis Khan flew under the radar, Kane Williamson is a big blob on the radar obscuring it so you can't pinpoint where he is on the ATG map)

pure junk or just obsessed more with KW and less aware even at the time of YK full stop - probably thought he was Y2K.......!

perhaps personifies the difference between high profile "name" player and one got on with it in an inconsistent side with less fuss made about him than his contemporaries
