Would you have both Warne and O'Reilly in your ATG XI?

Having Warne as 8th batting position is a slight weakness try can afford with Bradman and Gilly.
If your team contains one of either Davidson or Lindwall (or to a slightly lesser extent Cummins) this point is irrelevant, but either way Warne is fine at 8, and in this mythical scenario you know Warne will rise to the occasion because that’s what he was like.

But if your main contention is OReilly weakens the lower order, yeh, you’re right.

I think Australia with Bradman and Gilly can afford a longer tail

In these mythical scenarios it’s probably only really Pak and NZ who have better tails, with Imran and Wasim, and Hadlee and Vettori respectively. Depending on who you select, SA can be pretty strong too in lower order batting

Yeah SA with Pollock have a better tail. India with Ashwin and Kapil and maybe Jadeja do.

In my England ATG XI, Botham and Knott bat 7 and 8.

But you're doing the same thing lol

Some people see things as black and white but your ability (or defect - who's to say?) to make everything black - black or same -same is next level. (whether that next level is an advance or regression, is anybody's guess)
