The EU is notoriously highly variable in this regard. There are also multiple EU references outright stating that Mace is the greatest warrior/swordsman the Jedi have seen for generations. You can't just cherry pick a quote because there will be others that contradict it.

Kar Vastor is characterised in Stover's novels as being immensely powerful, and Shatterpoint (which is an excellent novel btw) has a very reserved depiction of Mace's own power and skill compared to other sources.

I think just about every high level Jedi or Sith has some supremacy quotes but narratively I don't think Mace's portrayal in the actual stories consistently is really high, He constantly struggles with things that I just can't see Yoda or Sidious struggle with, Vastor being one of those things.

George Lucas admitted that he only came up with the suggestion that Sidious threw the fight later on but original intent was Mace victory.

I'm fine with folks disagreeing but that shouldn't be confused with having strong opinions which you defend. I think you should respect that. I do enjoy debate though its fun.

That's fine too. I am naturally a debater. That's doesn't mean I am that fussed about whether folks are convinced or not. I care more about the argument and many times I have said let's agree to disagree once our opinions are clear.

Some how, Boycott and Worrell destroyed May in both 2022 and 2024 Batting ranking polls and that was definitely not the general opinion and is certainly not the general opinion outside of this forum, so how was that achieved and what maestro did so?

If anything PEWS upgraded May but yeah no, just not rated highly because most hadn’t seen him and his average doesn’t stand out. Acknowledging any batsman post Hutton pre Root was always an unpopular thing.

Also Windu was the best saber wielder. Yoda and Sidious almost matched on force power and just below Mace as saber wielders. Big gap on the force side though.

For me at least too the only part that felt like Sidious throwing the fight was the lightning scene.

This anti-Sangakkara schtick is weak IMO. If it'd been him fighting Sidious not Mace, then there'd have been no Empire.

None of them would match Dassem Ultor in a sword fight though.
