At the end of 1983, only 5 batsmen scored had a strike rate of more than 80(minimum of 1000 runs).

Clive Lloyd : 82.93 in 47 innings
Ian Botham : 84.14 in 57 innings
Zaheer Abbas : 85.16 in 45 innings.
Viv Richards : 85.22 in 55 innings.
Kapil Dev : 104.5 in 45 innings.

One of the biggest reasons Viv is considered the best ever was his ability to score much faster than his peers.

He also averaged much more than his peers while doing so. I would have given Botham a pass had he maintained that output with the bat, he didn't. He was just mid in ODIs overall.

Peak Botham was a destructive batsman in test cricket

Tests and ODIs are two different things. Once the fields are spread and bowlers aiming at the base of the stump it is not as easy as in tests.

Even in ODIs he had useful knocks at high strike rate

Two things to note here
1. He wasn’t as destructive as Kapil in ODIs
2. He dipped like in test cricket. Around 1983, he was averaging 23 with SR of 85 which was great for that time.
Pretty sure that after Rishad's career is done, I'll be able to post something similar for him too.
