The Bumrah pick is affected too by just how well Bumrah bowls in India and WI, which is where he's at his absolute best imo (Australia is a close third considering the conditions)

Viv Richards is the Infallible.
It's more that his game I think is designed to put Bumrah off his.

High reaction time to compensate for Bumrah action, cross bat shots to put him off his line. Viv wasn't particularly weak outside off to get setup regularly. Bumrah also lacks the aggro of a Lillee who was the only one to be on even keel with Viv and didn't mind getting hit.

Bumrah definitely dismisses him a few times but Viv scores enough to get ahead of him in this contest.

I think Bumrah wins over their careers cos Viv can only handle him for a couple of years

Disagree. More like between 76-88, 76-81 clearly wins but it's not like 84-88 was anything less than ATG against fast bowling.
Nah. I am not giving 40 averaging 80s Viv the W here. 76-81 will be a close match though.

he averages 49 in the 80s, no idea what you're talking about, between 84-88 he's at 49.
Not giving 49 avg Viv the W to 19 averaging Bum Bum Still. 84-88 he had his moments vs Imran but was never the same consistent.

Not giving the W is okay but considering he averages 50+ at the time in games with Imran on the most bowler friendly pitches imaginable and took apart Hadlee in West Indies, I don't think it'd be remotely one sided.

Not totally one sided, but Overall a comfortable Bumrah W.

Samplesizelol. And they are different bowlers from Bumrah.
19 innings, 840 runs, 2 hundreds, 46.66 average in games with Hadlee and Imran. Ok, explain to me technically what Bumrah does differently than them which Viv won't be able to handle.

again, you have to learn, Viv failed the "easy" assignments, he never failed the tougher ones.
