Who is the greatest cricket athlete of all-time?

Migara

Jayasuriya.

We all know how strong the guy was and how fit he was. Thing many people doesn't know is that he is a bloody impressive sprinter too.

I'm just going to interpret this as who was the most athletic fast bowler, as fast bowlers are the real alpha athletes of the game, let's be real.

Garner or Ambrose I'd say, take your pick. Garner was a little bit bigger, so I guess go with him.

Then again, I'm looking just at bowling speeds, and height and maybe release point as being the proxy for athleticism here.

I don't know which was the fastest flat out sprinting fast bowler, or had the best vertical or anything like that, because you don't really use that in cricket.

So maybe we could make some combination measure of pace and release point height, and somehow get a formula for most "athletic" fast bowler that way. Regardless, I'd probably stick with Garner or Ambrose anyway.

C’mon guys. C.B Fry.

Cricketer, FA Cup football finalist, represented England nationally in football, noted ice skater and allround athletics star, held the world record in long jump for a time, proficient golfer, almost played a trial for the England rugby team.

Famously, had a party trick, as follows…

Fry's party trick was to leap from a stationary position on the floor backwards onto a mantelpiece; he would face the mantelpiece, crouch down, take a leap upwards, turn in the air, and bow to the gallery with his feet planted on the shelf.

Sobers.

40 overs a match, ran like a gazelle and batted in the top order.

And did it for 20 years
