Taylor will get the job done. Currently I don't think teams are packing the leg side well enough for him to want to go the other way.

Hmmm, more people think either Hell will Freeze over, or even more unlikely, Australia will lose a test series, before NZ will win one.

Seriously, Ross Taylor is likely to score a boundary on the off side in his next match, let alone hell freezing over.

Billy gave an LBW in the Eng vs. NZ 20/20, so it'll be over a year till he gives another one. He has a one per year rule or something.

This thread started after the 20/20 though.

Interesting to see if Taylor gets a knock today what will he do, esp. since I can't remember a cover drive at all in this match today.

That's what I'm saying. As this thread started after Billy's latest LBW, it'll be another year till he gives an LBW.

So are the other things likely to occur in the next 12 months? Australia will have some tough series ahead, NZ could beat England, you never know, Ross Taylor may get an outside edge through slips for four, and hell may indeed freeze over.

But for another 12 months Billy will not raise his finger for an LBW appeal.

That wax indeed a beautiful shot. Didn't think it'd get past the fielder at first then it made it's way to the boundar.y Was superbly timed and placed. Wish he'd do it more often.

Haha, followed by some of the worst slogs to leg you'll ever see. 3 runs to win, tries to slog sweep Broad over mid-wicket for six. Wish the idiot got bowled.

Yeah exactly. He's lost the plot somewhat. McMillan syndrome - looks a million bucks when he puts his brain to it and uses his talent, then looks like someone you would bowl to in your backyard trying to clear the fence.

Voted Taylor

Small ground. Midwicket slog. Top edge. Drops safely. Four.

Seriously what a fustrating player that Taylor boy is.

To be fair, this poll has finished due to Taylor hitting an off-side four (two actually) yesterday, to go with his traditional huge midwicket slog for six.

And to be fair to the lad, those offside fours were quite good. What someone said before on this forum is right: Taylor needs to bat three or four and thus have time to build an innings. If he comes in at 5 or 6 with 15 overs to go, he may be too tempted to slog given the scoreboard pressure.
