It's how they're mentioned that I'm complaining about lol. You could do the same as well, considering that the main point against the modern side is that their bowling statpadded on bowling friendly wickets while completely ignoring how that reflects on their batting which has still been very good for the relative time period. And what the inverse says about the older side.

Wtf O'Keefe was faaaar better than late career Harbhajan. The bloke would be lucky to average less than 40 on the sort of pitches O'Keefe took Shield wickets for fun on.

Kohli’s bowling attack is so far in its superiority to Dhoni’s, that no difference in batting can bridge that gap. Forget Ashwin and Jadeja(both of whom are better than Kumble at home, and leagues ahead of Harbhajan), even the pacers are damn good at home(Shami averages 22, Ishant has done great under Kohli, Bumrah is also great, although for a very small sample size). Batting wise, I agree Sachin, Sehwag, Laxman are elite players of spin, but Rohit, Pujara, Kohli(at his peak, when he murdered Shakib, Hearth) and Pant are good enough to play Harbhajan atleast, only Kumble is a threat from Dhoni’s team and clearly not as big as Jadeja and Ashwin.
