Could there be another spell like this on the horizon? If Smith is being considered as an opener it's going to open up spots all over the place.

Does it say something about Cummins's legacy that it only took about 4 pages for it to start getting derailed about Anderson and now we're discussing Marcus Harris?

Few will disagree that he's an excellent bowler and a nice guy, but is he the type of player that Australian kids of today will tell their grandkids about? Similarly, hard for English fans to hate him and, now that Warner has gone, even his team are rather unobjectionable, which is a terrible position for any Australian side to be in, however good.

Every time I see someone bring up the "aha, you were talking about one thing but now you're talking about another!" canard as if it proves something, I can only assume that they haven't held a conversation that's lasted more than five minutes before.
