what to do with September

Shady Slim

International Coach
so there's that period in september where there's no cricket and it sucks, they've proposed a mini IPL which is the worst thing they could do but their judgement is crap

i propose they play two all star tests, one through and around the weekend of the first and second weeks, another through and around the weekend of the third and fourth weeks

teams selected by coaches but obviously opt out for surgery ect, but there would be prestige behind a call up

so what does cw think should be done? mini IPL? nothing? another Ashes?

There are usually limited overs internationals in the UK in September. Sometimes international cricket in the West Indies and/or Zimbabwe too.

Yeah, think the only reason the summer is ending a bit early this year is that England have a ridiculous winter that's scheduled to start in early October.

Even if there were no cricket in September, which there is, it's not like an offseason period is known to kill a sport.
