Lloyd averages 75 in IndiaLloyd more balanced batsmen..fine player of spin at the subcontinent but never dominated a particular area. Sehwag on the other hand is the GOAT against off spin bowling
Lloyd didn't play the spinners as quality as Shewag did. No one had the quality of Murali, Warne or Saqlain in Lloyd's era. We didn't see the battle of Sehwag vs Kumble. Kumble used to be pretty effective against both Tendulkar and Lara. So it was the next tier that has similar bowlers. Herath, Vettori, MacGill, Swann, Mendis etc compared to Chandra, Bedi, Qadir, Underwood etc. Spin playing wise, Sehwag is easily the best ever world cricket has seen, and even Lloyd would admit it is not a big issue to be rated lower in that regard.Lloyd averages 75 in India
Sehwag was trash against bowlers who moved the ball. That is the reason that Lloyd is rated higher.Lloyd for me, but didn't expect this result.
Genuinely surprised.
I never said Lloyd was superior to Sehwag in spin, just that, in his own right, he was arguably the finest player of spin of his generation.Lloyd didn't play the spinners as quality as Shewag did.
